Lady Alustriel Silverhand
Age-612 Race-elf Class-sorcerer, wizard, archmage Gender-female play by: Cate Blanchett
Lady Alustriel Silverhand (known as Elué Dualen to the elves) is the former ruler of Silverymoon and is currently the High Lady of the League of the Silver Marches, a confederation of various states in the areas around Silverymoon (Mithral Hall, Everlund, Citadel Adbar to name a few). She is a powerful mage, being one of the Chosen of Mystra and one of the Seven Sisters. She is known for her love and devotion to her people, something really unusual for many people who hold political power. Therefore, she is extremely popular in Silverymoon, and most of her subjects would do anything in their power to prevent any harm from happening to her. She is considered a wise and fair ruler, but she does not hesitate to be ruthless when needed.
Catti-brie
Age- 35 Race-human gender-female class-fighter play by: Angie Everhart
Catti-brie is a beautiful auburn-haired and blue-eyed woman. She is kind, tolerant, and pragmatic. Moreover, Catti-brie has grown into the emotional compass for her adventuring companions, guiding both Drizzt and Wulfgar into wise action with her common sense and clear insight.
Wulfgar
Age--mid 30s race--human gender--male class--barbarian play by--himself
Wulfgar son of Beornegar is the barbarian hero of Icewind Dale, and one of the Companions of the Hall along with Drizzt Do'Urden, Catti-brie, Regis, and Bruenor Battlehammer. He worships Tempus, god of battle. The physical build of Wulfgar is astounding, giving him incredible strength. He has even been known to crush a man's head with his bare hands, though it was not an easy task for him. Wulfgar is nearly seven feet (2.1m) tall, with a broad and muscular chest. He has blond hair and a neatly trimmed beard. Wulfgar carries Aegis-fang, a huge warhammer crafted for him by Bruenor.
Wulfgar was the flag bearer for Heafstaag, King of the Elk tribe when he was just a boy. In the barbarian Ten Towns battle Bruenor Battlehammer the dwarf knocked out Wulfgar with a blow to the head. After the battle, when the people of Ten Towns were slitting throats of the surviving barbarians, Bruenor spared Wulfgar. Instead of death, he sentenced him to five years and a day of service to Bruenor. Wulfgar took to the forge and changed his opinion of Bruenor from slaver to father. Bruenor crafted Aegis-fang with Wulfgar in mind. When Wulfgar's sentence was almost up, Bruenor bade Drizzt Do'Urden the drow to teach Wulfgar how to fight. When Akar Kessel came to conquer Ten-Towns, Wulfgar defeated the white dragon Ingeloakastimizilian to claim leadership of the tribes, which he then turned from an alliance with Akar Kessel to an alliance with Ten-towns.
More recently, Wulfgar was captured by a yochlol when he and his companions were trying to save Drizzt from capture by the drow. Wulfgar caused a ceiling to cave in on himself and the handmaiden in order to keep it from killing Catti-brie. However, the yochlol dragged Wulfgar with it to the Abyss and its mistress Lolth, who later gave Wulfgar as a gift to the tanar'ri Errtu, so the demon would in turn watch over the drow city Menzoberranzan during the Time of Troubles. When Errtu was summoned by a powerful sorcerer, he used the anti magic gem given him by Lolth to escape and brought Wulfgar with him. Drizzt and company managed to defeat Errtu and send the demon back to the Abyss, but during his six years as Errtu's prisoner, Wulfgar's mind was almost broken. He later wound up attacking Cattie-brie during a hallucination, an occurrence which caused him much mental anguish. In an effort to stop the harm he was doing, Wulfgar broke off from the Companions of the Hall, as Drizzt and his companions were called, and wandered the North for a time, eventually finding himself at a Luskan tavern called the Cutlass, owned by Arumn Gardpec. Wulfgar eventually became the bouncer of Arumn's bar, but was descending into the world of the bottle. Arumn's cowardly friend, Josi Puddles, stole Aegis-fang when Arumn decided to fire the huge barbarian, and Wulfgar was forced to find his hammer with his thief friend, Morik the Rogue.
Wulfgar eventually recovered his hammer with the help of his old friends, banished his demons without the help of alcohol, and settled down with his new wife, Delly Curtie, and their adopted daughter, Colson. He sometimes travelled with the Companions of the Hall. Wulfgar was torn between a life on the road, participating in adventures with his companions, and a settled life looking after his family, but Delly maintained that he must pursue his adventuring career. Wulfgar admits to having fallen for Catti-brie in the past, but now regards her as a close companion. At one point the couple were engaged. He asks her a few pointed questions during the story and later learns that the two, Drizzt and Catti-Brie, haven't consumated their stronger feelings for one another, which comes suprising to him.
Delly Curtie was under considerable strain being quartered in Mithral Hall while the ongoing war against the Orc King Obould Many-Arrows left her unable to walk the free air. She, even though married to Wulfgar, was mostly left feeling isolated whilst caring for Colson, their adopted daughter. Under these circumstances, she went to visit Wulfgar when she could, but after Cattie-Brie's fall to the giant, with her crushed leg, Wulfgar kept close to her and unfortunately, Delly, partly from jealousy and part from fear, wanted to get away from there with Wulfgar.
Wulfgar however was fighting beside the dwarves and Catti-Brie and spent more time fighting than with her, she appears to feel somewhat rejected and when she went to see Catti-Brie, carrying Colson beside her, she came under the influence of Khazid'hea. In desperation, Delly was about to leave the baby with a sleeping Catti-Brie, but then realised that Catti-Brie would be wanting to fight again and so reconsidered leaving Colson with her. Once the thoughts of Khazid'hea were calling to her though, too weak willed to resist, she fell under the powerful will of the sentient sword. Not being as strong willed as either Catti-Brie or Drizzt, she was overwhelmed by the swords' desire for killing, becoming an extension of the sword, as opposed to the wielder who controlled it. Colson was taken by Cottie Cooperson after Delly quite remarkably refused the will of the sword to kill it and handed the baby over to her, who quickly fled with refugees across the Surbrin to safer lands before the onset of winter, without telling Wulfgar.
With the will of the sword still driving Delly, she rushed North, bypassing the sentries who called out to her. Pikel and Ivan Bouldershoulder charged after her through the harsh weather. Later though, they came upon her slain body, all attributed to the orcs as the sword sought a better wielder day by day. The two were about to bring her body back when they caught sight of Drizzt on the flying Pegasus and left the body of Delly behind.
Wulfgar, after recovering Delly's corpse, having a proper burial, and grieving over the loss, set out with Cattie-brie to recover Colson. Wulfgar and Cattie-brie first traveled to Silverymoon to speak with Alustriel, who directed them to the town of Nesmé, where they would likely find Cottie, and more importantly, Colson. Without resorting to bloodshed, Wulfgar and Cattie-brie recovered Colson from Cottie in Nesme.
At this point Wulfgar decided the best thing for Colson was to be returned to her birth mother, Meralda. Immediately, Wulfgar set out on the road for Auckney where he convinced Meralda and her husband to retake Colson. From there Wulfgar seriously contemplated traveling North to Icewind Dale, the home of his birth, to lead his people, the Tribe of the Elk, and find a good woman to wed. But the time just wasn't right yet. He decided to travel back to Mithril Hall for one last visit with the Companions of the Hall. Finally, on the 1st of Flamerule, 1372 DR, Wulfgar returned to Icewind Dale.
Four years after the Treaty of Garumn's Gorge had been signed, Bruenor charged Drizzt and Regis to visit Icewind Dale and find out how his adopted son was faring. The pair found the Elk tribe but Wulfgar wasn't with them. Berkthgar the Bold told them that Wulfgar was dead, that he had forgotten the ways of his people and had died because of it. But neither of the companions were willing to believe that their erstwhile friend had been killed. After a week of searching the Frozenfar, Drizzt and Regis discovered Wulfgar living in Biggrin's Cave. He had forced himself into a year-long exile to re-learn the ways of his people and had only to survive the winter before he would return to the Elk Tribe and rejoin their fold. Although he welcomed his friends, Wulfgar wanted to complete his exile alone and, now knowing that their friend was alive and well Drizzt and Regis left him to his fate.
Dove Falconhand
Age- 611 race-human gender-female class-ranger, sorcerer, rogue play by: Meryl Streep
Dove Falconhand, born Ambara Dove Silverhand is a ranger, Chosen of Mystra, known for her skill at arms. Most folk in the Realms know her as a member of the Knights of Myth Drannor who are skilled with bow and sword, but says little. She is an accomplished singer and harpist, and she has been raising her son, Azalar Falconhand, in Evermeet. Azalar's father (Dove's husband) is Florin Falconhand of the aforementioned Knights. Dove is a broad-shouldered 6-feet tall human woman with long tresses of silver hair like her sisters. She usually dresses as men do, in nondescript brown or green leather breeches and a jerkin - or armor. She is by nature a fairly quiet, capable, unflappable sort of person, and she has learned to maintain this tranquility in the thick of battle. Her calmness is often unbelievable to those around her. People find this unsettling and misleading, and sword companions are stunned when she quietly wades into the midst of the most confusing, bloody battle. Dove enjoys lounging silently about, watching and listening to the wildlife. She can wait patiently for hours and even days. Some folk have misinterpreted her silence and patience as signs that she is "slow," but she is a very capable battlefield leader, and she has divined the secrets of some very complex traps and mazes during her dungeon-crawling days.
Drizzt Do’Urden
(this is just a rough idea, as you can see not in the right colors, of what I think he looks like)
Age- 182 race-drow gender-male class-ranger,fighter, rogue play by: himself
Drizzt Do'Urden is a drow. He stands at about 5′4″(1.68m) and weighs about 130 pounds (59 kg). His handsome features are sharp and well proportioned and like other drow, Drizzt's skin is black and his stark white hair is long, thick, and flowing. His eyes are a lavender hue and seem to glow fiercely when he is angry or determined. He normally wears a green forest cloak and high black boots, with a necklace attached to a white unicorn head, the symbol of his goddess, Mielikki. This symbol was crafted for him by his good friend Regis. Thoughtful and sensitive to others, Drizzt holds himself to the highest ideals but does not expect the same of others. He credits Catti-brie for imparting cultural awareness and tolerance upon him. Ever alert for treachery and danger, he speaks little but is apt to be polite (if terse) in his dealings. Drizzt's favorite weapon is the scimitar, and he carries two, nicknamed Twinkle and Icingdeath. He also carries a unique Figurine of Wondrous Power which summons his black panther companion Guenhwyvar. The drow wears a pair of bracers of the blinding strike (obtained from Dantrag Baenre, weapon master of the first house of Menzoberranzan who challenged and lost to Drizzt) around his ankles, making him incredibly quick on his feet. He chose to wear them on his legs instead of his arms because when the enchantment combined with his natural speed, his sword swings became too fast for him to control (making it hard to change directions), and his feet could not keep up, resulting in extremely predictable attacks. Drizzt's attire is generally a cloth tunic, tough pants, soft boots and leather gloves. Drizzt wears an enchanted set of mithral chainmail, made by Buster Bracer that he now augments by wearing a spider silk shirt under his armour that can magically protect its wearer from all but the most lethal attacks. He has also been known to use Mooshie's Longbow and a dagger hidden in each boot.
Laeral Silverhand
Age- 609 race-elf gender-female class-ranger, sorceress play by: herself
Laeral Silverhand is known as the Lady Mage of Waterdeep. Together with her partner Khelben "Blackstaff" Arunsun they lead the Moonstars, a dissident faction of the Harpers, which seeks to arrange the destiny of the cities and nation of the North. Laeral is one of seven female spellcasters, born to the ranger Dornal Silverhand (and his wife Elué), known as the Seven Sisters. She has one daughter, a human girl named Maura, conceived by Laeral during her time under the influence of the Crown of Horns by an unknown father. Maura is in love with the Crown Prince of Evermeet, Lamruil. In 1337 DR, Laeral led an adventuring band called The Nine on an expedition when they acquired the Crown of Horns. Laeral donned the headpiece and descended into madness. Twenty years later, in 1357 DR, Khelben "Blackstaff" Arunsun traveled to the stronghold of the band known as The Nine in the High Forest and freed Laerel Silverhand from the Crown of Horns and its curse and therefore also from Myrkul's influence. Laeral returned with him to Waterdeep for more healing, and after that, they were inseparable and she is referred to as Lady Arunsun, though they were never married. The mysterious circumstances surrounding Laeral and Khelben's meeting and subsequent partnership has led some to believe that Laeral is enslaved to Khelben against her will. Laeral has never denied this, instead preferring to let those who wish Khelben harm seek her out as an ally against him.
Qilué Veladorn
Age- 607 race-drow gender-female class-cleric play by: herself
Qilué Veladorn, is the youngest of the Seven Sisters, the Chosen family of Mystra, goddess of magic. Though born to a human couple, she is full-blooded drow, due to the bizarre events surrounding her birth. She is a priestess of Eilistraee the goddess of good-aligned drow and serves both Eilistraee and Mystra. As a Chosen of both goddesses she leads a temple complex, the Promenade, near Skullport, beneath the metropolis of Waterdeep in the subterranean area known as Undermountain. Qilué spends some of her free time in Waterdeep with dalliance of human men; on occasion while appearing as her sister Laeral Silverhand.
Storm Silverhand
Age- 610 race-elf gender-female class-fighter, bard, sorcerer, rogue play by:herself
Storm Silverhand (The Bard of Shadowdale) is known and loved by many in Faerûn and after centuries of adventuring, decided to settle in Shadowdale, a quiet farming town in the Dalelands. She is a bard by trade and den mother to the Harpers that travel through Shadowdale. She can play the harp and sing. Storm's current position in Shadowdale includes the roles of bard, midwife, farmer, friend to those she likes, and caretaker to her sister Syluné, whose ghost now resides in Storm's cottage. Storm is loved by nearly everyone she meets from the children of Shadowdale to King Azoun IV, who once told his trusted adviser Vangerdahast "Before all the gods I could fall on my knees in helpless love to that woman in a moment—and so help her, my queen would allow it, and even encourage me! And I doubt that my throne's not the only one she could have for the asking, if she desired such things." After a moment's contemplation, he asked Vangerdahast what it was that Storm did in fact desire. Vangerdahast replied: "The love of everyone in the Realms, Sire – and from just one man of them all, a child." After Vangerdahast paused to reflect on the past, he said something truly shocking to King Azoun. "The gods above know I tried." Storm had a companion for many years named Maxam who was killed by tanar'ri when he and Storm stumbled across a planar gate opened by illithids. Storm was unable to get to Maxam before he had already died. She wanted to bear his child and the fact that she did not bear a child in the time they were together, or in her time before meeting him, has led to the belief that she is barren.
Chaotic Neutral
Regis
Age- unknown race-halfling gender-male class-rogue play by:Sean Astin
Regis is barely 3 feet (0.9m) tall and so chubby he's earned the nickname "Rumblebelly", given to him by his dwarven friend Bruenor Battlehammer. When travelling Regis wears a fine red shirt, brown vest and breeches. Regis enjoys nothing so much as comfortable living. He can be quite subtle and equally crafty, though he is by no means cruel in any way. He has also grown wise over the course of his many misadventures and gained an ability to see things his friends often miss. Regis abhors violence and will do his best to avoid it. In situations where tasks must be assigned of varying threat, Regis will attempt to take the least dangerous option, something that his companions have come to expect of him. However, when he must enter battle, he tries to support his allies with sneak attacks against their enemies. After a battle is done, he believes on principle that the bodies of the fallen enemies must be searched. He feels that unlike the other Companions of the Hall, he is not a hero, and relies on them heavily. Regis is skilled at making scrimshaw trinkets from materials such as knucklehead trout. He is able to speak Orcish, but only at a basic level. Regis is the least martially capable companion, mainly playing his part by using a magical ruby pendant to influence the minds of others. He does carry a small mace, however, and has used it on occasion, usually to speed things along when his new "pets" are losing. He obtained the pendant by stealing it from Pasha Pook, head of the thieves' guild in Calimshan. Regis was born in or near Calimport far to the south. His earliest recollections are of a childhood spent on the streets, begging and stealing. Eventually Regis caught the eye of Pasha Pook, master of the city's thieves' and assassins' guilds. Regis did not disappoint his new master, but he eventually became bored. Regis discovered Pook used a magic ruby pendant in his dealings, and he set his eyes on stealing Pasha's powerful pendant. After stealing it, he fled. Pook proved more determined than Regis anticipated though, and wherever he went, Pook's men soon followed. Regis' flight finally brought him to the rigid climes of Icewind Dale, where he believed not even Pook's hired thugs could find him. Regis made a good living in the harsh Ten Towns, carving trinkets out of the local fish bones. There he befriended Bruenor Battlehammer and Drizzt Do'Urden, often reluctantly joining them in one adventure after another. After a time, the assassin Artemis Entreri tracked Regis down and kidnapped him, taking him back to Calimport where Regis' friends had to rescue him. Regis remained in Calimport for a time, but he was eventually driven out and back to his friends by Entreri. After many more adventures, Regis has settled into his life of adventure by his friends' sides and become a chief advisor to Bruenor.
Jarlaxle Baenre
Age- 400+ race-drow gender-male class-rogue, fighter, dualist play by:himself on site:Talon
This is a long one
Jarlaxle is a drow mercenary and leader of the Bregan D'aerthe mercenary company. He is (sometimes) an ally of House Baenre, although you can see on several occasions that his band's services are available to the highest bidder or to whoever suits him. Obviously House Baenre is the biggest house and so has the deepest coffers. He is one of a small number of male drow who actually have some power in a Lolth-worshiping city. Jarlaxle is slender and tightly muscled. Jarlaxle's shaven head is a symbol of his place in Menzoberranzan. In a society where rank and position are indicated by hair style (e.g., male drow nobles all have haircuts specific to their houses), Jarlaxle has no hair to illustrate that he considers himself removed from the society of Menzoberranzan. Being drow, he obviously is ebon skinned, and his eyes generally shine red from the infrared spectrum. He chooses the brightest colors for his clothes and wears a cape that shines in every color in both the visible and infrared spectrums. Jarlaxle commonly wears high boots and bracelets that can be made to be loud or silent at his discretion. He also wears a magical eye patch that protects his mind from magical and psionic intrusions and allows him to see through walls and other solid objects. He often shifts the patch from eye to eye to keep others guessing as to its powers. Another staple item is his wide-brimmed hat, plumed with a diatryma feather and worn atop his clean-shaven scalp. More than anything, Jarlaxle is an opportunist. His wealth is considerable, but official station in drow society means nothing to him. He has observed that the best way for a male to survive and prosper in the matriarchal drow society is by being outside the system and too valuable to be eliminated - and he was audacious enough to take his life in that direction. Always calm and graceful, Jarlaxle enjoys flaunting his independence and is proud of the fact that the noble houses come to him for aid. In the city of Menzoberranzan, intrigue and double-dealing are a way of life, and no one plays them better than Jarlaxle does. As a male outsider in the city, Jarlaxle has much information few others beyond Lolth's priestesses are likely to have access to. He is probably one of the most powerful individuals in the city and the surrounding Underdark. He has a very charismatic personality, always willing to talk his way out of situations rather than resort to force of arms. Moreover, talking is what Jarlaxle does best. His words easily work past the handicap of his race's evil reputation, able to turn potential enemies into allies. He appears also to be extremely intelligent and a brilliant tactican who almost never seems to be unprepared for any thinkable and unthinkable circumstances. He also prefers not to kill anyone as long as he can manipulate the person to serve his interests, no matter how small their role might be. Jarlaxle was born the third son to Matron Yvonnel Baenre. As was Drow tradition, the newly born Jarlaxle was to be sacrificed to Lolth. Unbeknownst to Old Matron Baenre though, Matron Oblodra created a psionic kinetic shield around the infant, being the only one to realise that this child was especially favored by Lolth. Desperately, Matron Baenre thrust a dagger into the baby repeatedly, fearing that she had lost the favor of Lolth, but the shield prevented any of her blows from landing. The Baenre secondboy at the time took up the child, planning to throw him into the Donigarten but the kinetic shield transferred all of the energy exerted by Yvonnel into his body, killing him within seconds and making Jarlaxle the new secondboy of the House. Lolth herself granted Jarlaxle these memories so that he would know that he was her favored one. Still, Jarlaxle has ever refused to kneel to her and as such has lost his status. Though due to his continuous efforts to cause chaos it could be said that he still serves her. During his youth in Menzoberranzan, Jarlaxle was close friends with the drow Zaknafein, who would later become the father of Drizzt Do'Urden. The first time Jarlaxle ever felt guilt was when he betrayed that friendship, though the details of his betrayal are never revealed. Jarlaxle took the Crystal Shard from Drizzt over two centuries later, posing as Cadderly Bonaduce and had ambitious plans to begin trade with the surface world, setting about to conquer Calimport with Artemis Entreri by taking over House Basadoni. He and Artemis Entreri eventually brought about the destruction of the object, after they foiled the artifacts plan to dominate Jarlaxle's mind. He had an adventure with Artemis Entreri working in the Bloodstone Lands. He stays in regular contact with his lieutenant Kimmuriel Oblodra, in whose capable hands he has left Bregan D'aerthe. Although he does not take an active role in leading his mercenaries any more, he still requests the resources of the group when it suits his needs. The position is open for Jarlaxle to retake control of the mercenaries, as Kimmuriel wishes to be done with his duties leading the group. Leaving behind their past, Artemis Entreri and Jarlaxle Baenre become mercenaries in the lands of Damara and Vaasa where fame and glory await any who seek it. They are hired by two dragon sisters to uncover artifacts left behind by Zhengyi the Witch King, a powerful lich who ruled the region for many years before falling to the power of King Gareth Dragonsbane and his allies. Artemis and Jarlaxle battle mighty foes in search of adventure, glory, and treasure, and Athrogate, the annoying dwarf, doesn’t make it easier. Of course, even after battling a draco-lich, Jarlaxe and Entreri triumph. Ilnezhara and Tazmikella ceased their working relationships with Jarlaxle and Artemis. The pair have attracted the attention of both the Citadel of Assassins (especially Entreri) and Spysong. Entreri is becoming more confused and self-reflective about himself which is complicated by the fact that he has taken Calihye as his lover. Jarlaxle is more interested in his surface empire, hoping to use the Zhengyian construct as the center of his new realm. Athrogate the dwarf takes to spending the harsh Damaran winter drinking himself into a stupor, planning on resuming his monster hunting in the spring. After certain unfortunate events between Calihye and Artemis, Artemis leaves Jarlaxle to parts unknown, while the dwarf Athrogate continues to travel with Jarlaxle.
