Board Threads Posts Last Post
No New Posts Anauroch

This desert was once a rich, flourishing land that was home to the ancient Netherese Empire. During a war with the mysterious and powerful phaerimm, this region became magically drained of life and was transformed into a broad wasteland. This desert swallowed the human empires and states of this region, and is now only sparsely populated by desert tribes. Recently, however, it has witnessed the arrival of the Shades; the strangely-transformed descendants of the original Netherese.

No New Posts Moonsea

This is actually a large lake that is connected to the Sea of Fallen Stars to the south by the River Lis. The shoreline is a wild, frontier area that is home to several city states that are dominated by despots. The region is rich in ruins, monsters, pirates, and harsh, cold terrains.

No New Posts The Tortured Land

an area of land in the Moonsea region which was formed by ancient lava flows that were then carved by flowing ice. Giant stone pillars, like teeth, smoothed by the wind jut out from the landscape. Strange monsters chase small animals but the only other inhabitants seem to be the bats that lair in the few caves of the area.

No New Posts Dragonspine Mountains

are a range of dangerous peaks that bisect the southwest region of the Moonsea from the northeast. In spite of this, they provide many valuable raw resources that entice entrepreneurs that are attempting to carve out new pieces of civilization from the wild places. Though far from being the largest mountain range in Faerûn, the Dragonspines are rugged and often bitterly cold throughout the year.

No New Posts Galena Mountains

a range of mountains that forms a natural border around Vaasa in Northeast Faerûn. The range is about 250 miles (402km) long and not more than about 25 miles (40km) wide, forming a ring around Vaasa from the west to the east in an anti-clockwise direction. The range is extremely jagged and permanently topped with ice and snow. It is inhabited by many goblinoids and giants

No New Posts The Ride

This is a cold, northern plains region surrounded by rugged mountain ranges, located to the northwest of the Moonsea. Several tribes of fierce, mounted barbarians dwell on these steppes, preying upon any who trespass here. At the western edge is the Border Forest, forming a barrier between the plains and the Anauroch desert. Southeastward is the moors of Thar, along the north coast of the Moonsea. Further north beyond the mountains is the rugged, volcanic flows of the Tortured Lands.

No New Posts Vaasa

untamed wasteland of frozen moors and tundra located in the Cold Lands of northeast Faerûn. It is a relatively empty land with sporadic farms and the occasional wandering monster. As much of the land is unclaimed, there are many prospectors who come to Vaasa looking for natural treasure, of which it has many. The lands are rich in precious metals and gems, particularly bloodstone.

No New Posts Ten Towns

a loose confederation of localized fishing villages in Icewind Dale, bordered individually by the lakes Lac Dinneshere, Maer Dualdon and Redwaters, and the mountain Kelvin's Cairn. Its population is predominantly human, with very few half-elves and halflings. Surrounded by the unforgiving tundra of the dale, theirs is a life fraught with danger; tundra yeti, barbarian, goblin and orc raids constantly threaten the towns. The area around the towns (not sub-boards) will be played as the tundra.

No New Posts Calimport

sprawling capital city of the country of Calimshan. It is on both the water and the desert, so it can be reached either way. Memnon is a close trading partner by caravan. Sometimes the local traders make runs that go as far as Luskan. Sultan Vezhera is the nominal leader of the city, but the Crime Guilds run the streets. It is all well organized so an outsider wouldn't know the difference. Bead stands, harems and taverns line the streets, but as usual there is always a top provider of both. Taverns include Mystic Tavern, which has an opium den in the back, and the Glistening Harem that has a wondrous bath house. Calimport also is the home of the assassin Artemis Entreri, known for his longstanding feud with Drizzt Do'Urden

• Some 20 miles beneath the floor of the Sea of Fallen Stars lies another large body of water, the vast underground ocean known as the Glimmersea, sometimes called the Sea of the Starry Night. It stretches out underneath most of the Sea of Fallen Stars. The Glimmersea consists of a large body of water filling immense vaults. This waterway is noted for a number of spectacular ribbon-cascades that extend down into it from the cavern ceilings, thousands of feet overhead. Its name 'Sea of the Starry Night' is derived from the lumniscent rocks found in some of the vaults of the Glimmersea that remind sailors on the underground oceans of the starry night sky of the world above. Several powerful Aboleth cities lurk within the depths of the Glimmersea and in the shallows stand several kuo-toa and sahuagin outposts. Needless to say these feared races keep adventurers at bay and the seemingly tranquil and smooth surface of the Glimmersea is seldom traversed by the ill-prepared.
