Cypress tilted his head at her. "Are you sure you wish to involve outsiders in this?" He crossed his arms over his chest as his brow drew together with a frown. "It seems to me that when one involves too many outsiders in problems of a delicate nature, they tend to become greedy and ask for recompense for their information"

(OOC--neh one liners!)
Cypress gave a condescending look meant to make her appear dumb. "Why do you not just track as a good hunter does?" He pushed off the tree and placed his hands on his hip. "Are you not capable of tracking the object of your thoughts?"

Dawn tilted her head and eyed him curiously, "What are you talking about?" she asked him, not quite sure what he was talking about. Besides, wouldn't tracking be pointless since it happened so long ago? she thought to herself

Cypress gave her an odd look. "Do you not know anywhere they might be?" He shook his head. "Or some one closer who might know? Someone who you wouldn't be dragging in from the outside?"

Sawn sighed. "No I do not. My brother and sister were too young to remember much of anything. They know even less than myself. And i do not recall that much either." she explained "Sadly i have not the slightest clue as to where my people might have gone. Except for maybe another elven village. So i had thought to start here."

Cypress smiled and nodded. "Alright." He shrugged and moved over to her, holding a ahnd out to her. "May I lead you?" He tilted his head back toward the direction of the village. "I know where to find the people an dI know how to get the information for you cheap."

Dawn glanced to his hand then back up to his eyes as if searching for some deception... she took a deep breath and excepted his hand.. Lead the way... she said softly, holding Wildfire's reins in the other hand

Cypress smiled and squeezed her hand slightly. He pulled her over to her horse. “I think it would be best if you let your horse remain tethered here while we walk the rest of the way to the village.” He tilted his head towards the path they would need to take. “The path to keep you away from patrols is in this direction. It will get you into the village without having to go through the gates or past any guards. If you went down the main path then you would have to wait until Sunrise to enter.” He looked sadly at Wildfire. “The horse is much too big to fit through the entrance I am showing you.”
He turned his eyes on her, the moonlight shining softly in them. “Also, I need to know exactly what village or town they were from. It will help me in taking you to the right person.”

Dawn nodded sightly and turned to speak softly to Wildfire and then walked a few feet and tethered him to a tree... when he asked the name of the place her people were from.... she hesitated a moment as she eyed him carefully.... "We lived near Calmiport that is on the Sword Coast. My village was Teshyll." she said to him. her gaze seeming to be seeing something other than him.... as if she had stepped into the past for a moment
((OOC: I got my friend to join and she's gonna be Artemis so she's gonna bring him into the thread... so... yeah.. that is the person Cy should take Dawn to ^_^))

Cypress smiled slightly. "You are in luck." He let go of her hand and set off immediately down the path. "If it had just been tomorrow when you had decided to venture into the town...." He chuckled, and glanced over to her. "The way fate works, yes?"
He moved a low hanging branch out of the way for her and waited for her to pass. "One more day and he would be long gone."
(OOC: I suggest after your next post we do a time lapse so that we can get to the town)

Dawn smirked dryly... "Yes... fate." she muttered as she past him and the branch..... She just hoped this was going to get her the answers she'd been looking for.....
((OOC: ok you start the time lpase then. ^_^))

{Later}
They slipped through the small hole in the outer wall, Cypress moving her stealthily along the back ways of the city. The alleys were dirty and dark, but it was a way to get in without paying, or having to worry about missing his man. Entreri wouldn't wait for anyone.
Cypress looked over his shoulder and smiled a bit. He indicated the door to the tavern. "Come along then Dawn." He pushed is cowl back up and took her by the forearm, pulling her into the tavern.
The light and the smells assaulted their noses and Cypress started leading her to the back of the tavern into the shadowy parts. He could almost make out Entreri.

Dawn stayed close. The smells and sights so unfamiliar to her in this place. She kept her hands resting esily on the hilts of her swords. Ready to draw her weapons if need be. Her baw and quiver strapped to her back, but within easy reach for her. She kept even more allert as Cy lead her to the back.. to the shadows...

Artemis leaned back in the corner. He never kept his back to the crowd, too many people with too many weapons. He took a long draft from his mug and sighed. He could see the tell-tale black cowl of Cypress' hood. He would recognize that gait anywhere. Curse the day he met the man. He was always asking questions, bothering him. Could he blame him for wanting to learn something though?
Artemis sighed and leaned forward, forearms resting on the table, waiting.
