"Well then why in the nine hells are ye here?" He rubbed his beard briskly for a moment to alleviate some itch and then went about stacking the wood he had thrown. "Seems right stupid to be here if ye are to be complainin and frettin the whole while."

He sighed as he remembered his home in the tunnels, "I'm looking fer somethin." HE said as he momentarily forgot about the cold. He sighed as he realized that he really was away from home, warmth and comfort. He shook his head, "Just don't know what I'm looking for." HE stared off into the frozen land that he had come to. "Somethin just kinda pulled me here." HE said as he pulled a flask and took a long hard drink and offered it to Athrogate.

Athrogate took the flask and took a nice, long drink. He lowered the flask, a bit of the liquor spilling onto his beard. "Tis good drink you got and good heart too." He leaned forward, stroking his beard slightly. "But if ye is to remain here, the cold be killin you." He shook his head and gestured back to the south. "What ye be seekin must be somethin grand to pull ya away from your warmer homeland."

Thayne smiled, "That it is," HE frowned slightly, "I just wish i knew what it be. Tis a strong feeling that I'm sposin to be round here, but where?" HE said as his eyes got a distant look. HE stared out at the frozen dessert. He shook his head, his beard moving a little thawed out by now, "So, what brings you from your home?" He asked as he took the flask from Athrogate and took a drink.

Athrogate heaved a great sigh. "A damned drow elf is what!" He threw his hands up. "I be plenty fine bringin ears in from Vasaa but damned coal skinned trickster dark elf drug me away, he did!" He huffed and rested his wrists across his knees, glaring at Thayne. "And his damned friend right along with him." He grumbled for a moment to himself, remembering all of the misfortunes of the half-orc city. "Got me arse in a spot of trouble them sons 'o goblins did."

Thayne nodded as he listened, "So yer huntin this coal skin? Or just lookin to repay a favor?" Thayne asked as he watched athrogate. HE hacked and spat off to the side.

Athrogate 'Bwahaha'ed and tugged at his beard. "Nah..." HE sighed a great sigh once more and looked off into the distanceback toward Vasaa. "Runnin an errand for the damn scalawag. There ain't nothin more demeanin then bein an errand boy." He kicked up a puff of snow. "Damn little toy I am." HE sighed again and turned his eyes back to Thayne, strands of black hair that had escaped from his beard came up around his face as a harsh, biting wind blew. "He saved my hide as much as he almost killed it." He shook his head. "Strange fellow that Jarlaxle."

Thayne nodded, thinking of the name he had given. "Name sounds familiar," He shrugged, "What kind o' errand ya runnin?" HE asked as he hel out the flask after he had taken another good swig. Thayne shivered from the strong gust and cursed the spirits of the wind for being so cold.

Athrogate shook his head despite wanting to drink down that liquor. This was Thayne's drink not his to drink down. "Somethin'." He shrugged. "I can't rightly be tellin you..." He laughed softly and shook his head. "If'en I did tell ye, there's no tellin what the elf would do."

Thayn nodded in understanding. He sighed and stretched his tired libms before streching out on the ground before the fire, "So, where you to be going?" He asked thinking that he might accoumpany him to his destination if he could.

"I'm goin back down from this big hill, and back towards Vasaa and Jarlaxle." He shrugged. "I did as he asked and I'm ready to go home." He clapped Thayne on the shoulder roughly. "Ye think your somethin might be farther away to the south?" He tweaked his chin and ice fell from Thayne's beard. "This here weather is freezin the beard 'round yer mouth."

Thayne chuckled, "Might be." HE shruged as he stare off to the south, feeling the strange pull of his imagination. He listened to the whipered words in his mind that told him of the adventure he could find. "Yeah, I think it might be." HE said as he shook himself real good to rid himself of a thin layer of snow.
(OOC: The voice is nothing more than just one of those voices we all hear telling us things, like aconscious. lol)

Athrogate stood and shook himself mightily. He needed to move to keep from freezing to the spot. "Why don't you try and make yerself a little hole in the hill?" He shrugged and indicated the face of Kelvin's Cairn. "Mighten it be easier than sittin here in the snow and bitin wind."

Thayne blinked at the dawrf and slowly stood to shake of the snow better. He threw a light layer of snow on the fire to douse it. He gathered up as much of the wood he could carry in one arm and started out, "Ya commin friend, or are ye gonna let yer arse freeze to the ground like a halflings belly after a stack 'o pancakes?" Thayne asked as he started away from the camp.

Athrogate let out a mighty 'bwahahaha' before rising to his feet and furiously shaking the snow from himself. He laughed softly and slapped his hand hard down on Thayne's shoulder. "Yer a good un." He pulled him to the side, leading him around and up to the other side of the cairn, the side where the wind wasn't as harsh. "You're to be comin with me and have a little fun?"
