Thayne blinked and grated his teeth at the sound of Athrogate's laugh, "Sure, I'll be goin with ya, if'n it's to a nice warm spot." Thayne sighed as they began their walk around the cairn, he stared off into the white abyss and thought about his nice warm home to the south. He shook his head to throw the snow from his eyelashes, "So, where are we ta be goin?" Thayne asked as he stepped over a small lump in the snow.

Athrogate indicated the direction they were going. "We're goin around to find ye a good lil hole to rest in." He looked over at him "And if'n it be alright with you, i wish to stay too, not wantin to meet my end."
He laughed softly and stopped to look at one of the little holes on the side of the cairn.

Thayne followed, listening to the sounds of the snow crunching underfoot. He nearly bumped into Athrogate when he stopped, "What're ya stoppin for?" Thayne asked and looked to see what had caught Athrogate's attention. "IS that we cubby what yur thinkin we're gonna be stayin in?" Thayne asked as he scratched his finger, more to try and feel them than from any actuall itch.
(OOC: Thanx talon. lol DOn't really feel to different than before.)

Athrogate shook his head and moved on, dropping back a bit so that he could walk beside Thayne. "No that little hole is too small for me and you." He moved farther around. "That'n there aint big enough for one not speakin 'o two." He noticed a just of rock that would be perfectly out of the wind and he charged towards it in hopes that it wouldn't be too small. "Come on then Thayne, less ye want to be dead!" He reached the outcropping and saw that it did indeed stretch farther back into the rock. "And when yer dead I'll make a nice meal in yer head." He bwahaha'd and went into the cave mumbling about 'no need to waste good meat'.
(OOC: yeah i didn't feel different at all. I just wanted to get out of my house and never look back. Didn't happen till I was 19 though and i didn't feel any different till i turned 21 this year)

Thayne made a face at Athrogate's odd rhyme. "Never ate a fellow dwarf." HE followed after Athrogate and sighed as he went to the cave. HE looked around at the cave and nodded his approval. He started to unpack and set up camp anew.
(OOC: Man, if i have to wait until 21 to feel different? then i'm screwed. LOL"

Athrogate laughed softly. "And neither have I, but as i was sayin, why waste the meat?" He went over to try and help him. "I mean, if'n ye were 'ere and had nothin but a dead dwarf, ye'd eat 'im too."
He went about starting up another fire for Thayne. "Tell me 'o yer plan."

Thayne shrugged at the thought of eating a fellow dwarf. "I might be inclined to." He shrugged as he helped Athrogate with the fire. "Plan," HE shrugged at the thought, "Not much fer pannin. Jus thought i'd search till i find whatever is pullin fer me." He sighed as the fire sprang to life.

Athrogate rolled his eyes and removed a small wrapped object from his belt. He touched at it softly. "I was sent on a lil quest ya see." He removed another wrapped something from his belt pouches. "An' if ye want, ye can come along with me." He unwrapped the second package to reveal some wrapped meat. He set it atop the fire and watched the fat begin to bubble on it.

Thanye nodded, noting the first wrapped item. He watched as Athrogate set the meat on the fire and his stomach gorlwed. HE frowned as he realized it had been a day since he had eaten. He sighed as he pulled his cloak tightere araound himself to chase away the last of the cold, "So, what kinda quest ye be on? One for the crow?" He asked. HE staredi nto the flames as he awaited Athrogate's reply.

Athrogate smile and poked at the meat. "Yea, he be sendin me all over." He shook his head. "Been gatherin all sorts of things." He looked at Thayne. "When he sees ya, he's gonna want ya to help out ye know." He reached a hand out and tried to pull Thayne a bit closer to te the fire. "Get closer to the fire, boy, yer beard is freezin."

Thayne shuffled closer to the fire upon feeling that Athrogate wasn't lying. Thayne shrugged and thought of the adventure that could be had, and smiled, "Wouldn't be so bad, workin and explorin'." Thayne smiled at the thought of getting to see new places and meet new people. "Asides, yur not seemin to mind bein a gopher so much." Thayne commented.

Athrogate shrugged. "Hadn't it not been fer the elf, I would be dead." He drew his thumb across his throat, making a loud slicing sound. "Damn assassin would have meh 'ead." He laughed and pulled one of the meat wraps off the fire. "I don't mind a bit...he saved meh life and the adventurin' is a plus." He chuckled darkly. "And besides, he lets me wander and get meh fair share of puss."

Thayne chuckled and smiled, "Really now?" he asked as e removed one of the meat wrapps as well. He sniffed the meat, and took a big bite, moaning lightly at the wonderfull taste. "Taste's so much better'en snow." He mumbled He sighed, "So, when are ya do back to tha dern elf?" He asked as he took another bite.

Athrogate shrugged. "I was on me way back jus' afore I came across ya." He laughed and then a strange look came over his face. He tugged lightly at his beard, a look of thought passing over his face. "Though..." He took a bite, rolling the meat around in his mouth to savor the taste. It was Jarlaxle who had given him the meat in the first place. "I 'ave a way to get back t'night, but ye might not like it." He turned his eyes to Thayne and shrugged, waving the meat as he talked. "He be wantin me back "post haste" 'e said, an' that's where this certian thing comes in." He took another bite, leaning over and poking the fire. "If'en ye want t' come back with me t'night, ye can. Although no dwarf I know likes tuh run faster 'an the wind."

Thayne rose a questioning eyebrow, "What're ya meanin?" Thayne questioned as he took a big bite of the meat and moaned in delight. 'How could a dwarf run faster'n the wind?' Thayne thought before he spoke, "I'd like ta come with ya, but first i got's ta be kowin how yur proposin we get to wear we need to get," Thayne said looking from the fire to Athrogate, " I mean, i've lived a good many years an' 'ave never heard of a dwarf runnin faster'n the wind." HE said before taking another bite of the meat.
