Thayne shivered in the cold, "Orc snot and dragon piss, it's colder than my great aunt's backside out here." HE grumbled as he settled down in a small cave near the base of the cairn. he sighed as he settled in. Thayne had been traveling for a few days and was glad to be able to rest his tired feet. He looked out at the blizzard and sighed, he was gonna be there for awhile. "well, might as well make the best o'vit." he sighed as he bundled his cloak and blanket around himself trying to insulate himself from the cold.

Athrogate, ambling along looking for the source of the perturbed sounding grumbles, made his way around a boulder and found himself in front of a shivering dwarf most likely when standing, a bit smaller than he. Athrogate spat and rested his hands at his sides. "Who sits in front o' me?" He asked loudly to the other dwarf. "Shiverin' an' shakin' from such a lil' breeze?"

thayne looked at the newcomer, "Thayne NIghtstriker, who be ye?" Thayne asked as he forvced his body to stop shaking. 'Little breeze me arse.' He thought to himself as he stood up to face the possible threat. Thayne hacked and spat on the rock next to him, as he rested his wrist on his battlehammer.

Athrogate let out a hardy chuckle as he watched the shaking be put under control. "Athrogate." He nodded and inspected the small campsite with disdain. "Ya plan to camp here?" He gave another 'bwahahahaha' before beginning to approach Thayne. "Light yerself a fire before I be havin' to build ye a funeral pyre."

Thayne wrinkled his nose at the rhyming dwarf, "Must you do that?" HE asked as he searched around for some kind of wood. When he finally decided to dig for the wood, he gurbled to himself as he swung his axe at the ground, hoping to break it apart with a swing, but the cold and lack of food had greatly diminished his strength. Thayne glared at the ground as he swung harder and finally broke it apart. HE moved the snow and found just enough wood to start himself afire and began to stack the wood appropriately. He pulled his flint and hunting knife out and began his fire. HE glanced at the other dwarf, "Well are you just gonnna stand there like a lump on a ogre's arse, or are you gonna help?" HE grumbled as he blew upon the fire to get the flames higher.

Athrogate 'bwahaha'ed again and leaned down. He stared at the smoking wood and took a huge breath in. He glanced to the other dwarf before letting loose a great gust of air onto the 'fire'. The flames sputtered before dying again. "Do that a bit and it should do good." He straightened and looked around. "I'll fetch some more wood."

Athrogate laughed heartily. "There be wood beneath this ice." He walked farther away, shooting over his shoulder, "Ye just be watchin yer fire, don't worry about it, I'll go." He waved over his shoulder. "I'll be comin back when I made my way trough the snow."

Thayne briefly entertained the idea of bashing the dwarves skull in, but thought better of it. ""If he can get more wood, then so be it" He mumbled as he fanned the flames a bit more. He sighed and pulled his covers closer to himself, trying to stay a bit warmer.

Athrogate hummed merrily to himself seeming as though the cold bothered him not at all. He went about busting the ice, his morningstars swinging back and forth as he worked. Chips of ice and snow flew around him. Every time he found wood, he tossed it over his shoulder back towards Thayne.

Thayne ducked as another missile of woods was thrown his way. HE rolled his eyes at Athrogate and tried to figure out how he seemed unaffected by the cold. He shrugged to himself, unable to think of the answer and continued to place the wood near the fire so it could thaw. He smiled as he thought about the warm heat of the dessert, a much preferable climate to the frozen wasteland he had entered.

Athrogate gathered an armload of wood and started making his way back towards Thayne. "I brought ye some more wood." He dumped the load onto the ground, a few stray pieces flying to the sides. "This should bring the fire up good." He plopped himself down on the snow and stretched a bit. "What be ye doin out in this weather?"

"Looking for haven." Thayne mumbled, his lips feeling frozen together. He galnced at Athrogate, "How are you not cold?" He aske as he added a few pieces of wood to the fire.

Athrogate shrugged and smiled at him. "I been here in the cold for years." He laughed heartily again and scratched his black beard. "There ain't nothin cold can do that can't be fixed with a few beers." He laughed again, propping his feet up near the fire. "Where ye be comin from Thayne?"

Thayne sighed as he rubbed his hands close to the fire, "I be commin from the south, where it's warm." HE said as he shivered a little bit. He glanced at Athrogate and rolled his eyes.
