Thayne's blood ran cold at the name, "Zhengyi?" Thayne chewed his lip hard, thinking over the idea of looking for the treasures of such a man, if Zhengyi could even be considered a man. Thayne spoke after a few minutes, "So, what ya be speakin of is roamin 'round these parts... looking for items of magic from a monster such as that?," He took a deep breath, " I'ma have ta' think on it fer a bit." He said before he took a few steps to think. 'Zhengyi? Zhengyi!? What kinda fool am I ta be thinking, even considerin', going for that demon's things?' Thayne thought to himself as he paced.
After a few minutes, Thayne wandered back to Athrogate. "So, what else'll be in it fer me? Aside from the adventure and women?" He would need some kind of payment for risking his hide for someone he barely knew. He glanced over at the elf and took a deep breath, trying to push away any thoughts of doubt that he may have had. With what he had heard of this one elf he could do to part with a small fortune.

Calihye eyed Jarlaxle carefully, this one was always up to something more than what he told. she cocked her head slightly to the left and smirked just the tiniest bit. What choice do I have? Help you or go back to living within four stone walls? she said then looked to teh side as if contemplating. What if i said no? To both? she asked him slyly.

Jarlaxle laughed, actually dropping his head back a little. He put his hand to his stomach, the other to the wall. "That is very funny." He shook his head and looked over his shoulder to Athrogate, who was looking at him curiously. He waved his hand to send him back to his talking. Turning his face back to Calihye, a wide smile stretching his features, he said, "And dear Calihye, what would you propose?"
Athrogate shrugged and turned back to Thayne, smiling slightly. "What more do ya need other'n food an' drink an' women?" He chuckled softly. "Although, if'n ya be wantin' somethin' more..he does pay a nice lil' salary."

Thayne chewed his lip as he tugged his beard in thought. 'Goin' for treasure of a crazy man, gettin' paid with women and drink and jewels, or goin' back t' wander the lands.' He thought to himself. He tugged his beard a few more times before taking a few steps away, then pacing back, "How much is a good salary?" Thayne asked, staring intently at Athrogate. He glanced over to Jarlaxle when he heard the laugh, and scratched his head. Quietly to Athrogate he asked, "What's goin' on over there?"

CAlihye crossed her arms over her chest, almost squshing her breasts up to seem more full, though she didn't notice she was doing so. She looked Jarlaxe directly in the eyes with her own bright blue orbs. I propse that you allow me to leave this place. That you give me back my weapons and let me be on my way. she paused and smirked slyly up at the cunning drow. But you will not do such a thing will you, dear Jarlaxle? she in a purring seductive way, though she was doing it out of such habit that she didn't notice. Least.... not while there are precious tresures to be had. she ended simply

Jarlaxle laughed aloud again. "Precious treasures..." Jarlaxle shook his head, covering his eyes with one hand while he laughed. "You think to highly of yourself." He dropped his hand, assuming the deadly serious look he got when angry. "Calihye if I wanted to kill you I could and you know it." He leaned in very close. "You are no diamond in the rough, you are no shining star that brightens the world with your beauty and power." He reached a hand out and tweaked her chin. "You will understand something right now, little half-breed, this mission could do with out you. I am being incredibly generous allowing you outside that cell. I could put you right back." He gripped her chin tightly. "You will get your weapons back, but little girl you will not have freedom. This is your punishment for the way you treated Artemis."
Athrogate watched the spectacle with eyebrows raised. HE turned back to Thayne. "He don't us'lly get so...worked up...She must really be frustratin'." He shook his head and sighed, tugging at his own beard. "Let's say when this is done yeh could retire an' never have t' lift another finger iffin ya please." He laughed. "It's a lotta gold."

Thayne blinking in astonishment at the agitated outburst from Jarlaxle. He turned to face Athrogate and stroked his beard in thought. "Well I'll be a son of an orc. That's a lotta gold." He turned to Jarlaxle, and watched the dark elf for a moment. When he sensed that he had calmed down, he spoke. "Well now, dark skin, I'm thinkin' 'bout takin' yer offer. Might be some fine adventurin' and some good fun t' be had. Ye've got me axe." Thayne ran his thumb along his axe blade for emphasis.

Calihye was a little taken aback by Jarlaxle's anger, but she quickly regained her composure. Then she caught on to the fact that he took 'precious treasures' as refering to herself. She almost blushed... almost. But she turned that sudden bubbly feeling in her gut into anger as his words continued. She glared hard at him when he stopped talking, and in an even angry tone she replied. Then I suppose you have my answer then.... Since i have no freedom here.

Jarlaxle rolled his eyes and turned his back to her, walking back into his study. He looked over his shoulder to her. "Come with me Calihye, since you seem to think you have absolutely no choice."
Athrogate laughed. He followed Thayne and stood next to him. "He'll ignore ya till he's done with the woman, mighten ya better just relax for the time bein'."

Thayne rose an eyebrow as he listened to what was goin on around him. He glanced to Athrogate, "Alright, so what'll we be doin till he's ready?" Thayne sighed as he rested his axe upon his back. He recently rememberd that he was surrounded by drow. He picked his axe off his shoulder and began running his finger over the blade.

Calihye let out a long calming breath before she slowly turned and followed the dark elf into the other room. She let her gaze roam over his backside as he walked... she couldn't help herself! He's so well built... so... lushously handsome. she sucked in her breath quietly and chewed her lip. NO! Stop it! she thought angrily to herself.

Jarlaxle leaned against the wall, glaring at her. "This is going to be your job...you will take your weapons and you will use your stealth to infiltrate any place that needs a delicate hand over brute strength, which as you know is Athrogate's place in all this." He huffed softly and shook his head, looking back towards the door. I would rather have to face the rhyming of a dozen Athrogates than deal with this stubborn, stuck-up half-breed.
Athrogate shook his head. "We wait until he comes back out." He chuckled. "Take a good, welcome rest before he gets us back to runnin' about..."

Thayne sighed as he settled down on a boulder to rest, "I'm ta be thankin ya fer the help, an' the advice." He said to Athrogate as he looked over towards the door that Jarlaxle and Calihye disappeared behind. "So, what're ya ta be thinkin they're doin back there?" He asked Athrogate.

Calihye stepped a bit closer, she spoke softly, eyeing him and watching every move the drow made. One question, Jarlaxle. Why me? I am certain that your drow soldiers are much more capable of the needed stealth, as you put it. she said... she wondered why indeed he wanted her here for this. Was there some other motive in keeping her near? As was most always the case with Jarlaxle... nothing ever had a single purpose.

Jarlaxle chuckled. "Well my drow soldiers can't really move about much in the day can they?" He tapped the corner of his eye, the one not covered by a patch. "I need someone stealthy that can move through the light without fear of being pointed out and feared." He nodded at her. "That's you..."
Athrogate chuckled and plopped his hand roughly on Thayne's shoulder. "Don't be mentionin' it. It weren't nothin' t' offer an' help ya at all." He shook his head, looking off to the room and breaking out in a wide grin. "I ain't t' be thinkin' 'bout the goings ons in that room. I'll come iffen he calls."
